hi, Mr McClumpha again, I took your advice and took the baffle out, Arte fogo premier. Within minutes the water was boiling, picked up a steam leak on joint at back which didnt happen on slower heat up.no leak just steam for a few seconds.
The hot water was boiling in an hour or so, but due to fact its all gravity fed and we may have fire on longer in winter, do not want heat to find its way up into expansion tank if hot water tank gets too hot. gravity flow is brilliant, I put pipes slightly up hill (just touching edge of bubble spirit level) to allow natural flow, So I put it baffle back in hoping that will reduce the long term risk of above.
No wonder that bloke ran his bungalow off this little tank its brilliant, much more efficient , in fact unbelievably more efficient, than I thought.
Thanks will do photo and send to you when Ive finished the platering and done finishing touches.
Thanks once again for all the advice.and help.
Ian
