The Modeno - a very contemporary / retro looking solid fuel stove with some fantastic features. It's pet name in our Attleborough showroom is the "Dalek" due to the purposeful holes in the outer casing for convecting heat.

The more cast iron you have, the more heat you retain and therefore the less fuel you use ! This stove is a whopper (coming in at almost 150kg) - which is really high for a 14kw max stove. It's got a fairly small firebox, and two medium sized logs at a time are more than ample. The whole point is to burn as LITTLE fuel as possible - not as much fuel as possible !

Fitted with an advanced tertiary air intake system, this control (see lever pictured at top, rear, left hand side of stove) replaces more traditional sliding or dial air intake vents. All air intake is controlled very simply from this one lever - making this stove very user friendly (bottom vent used as a booster only for when lighting).

The special flue outlet on this model is a boon for shallow fireplaces or those with tight throat entry. Like the Fogo Premier, it's a dream to fit ! In the majority of shallow fireplaces, the chimney opening is right by the back wall of the fireplace opening and will not allow the minimum required clearance from the stove body without the fitting of a tee piece and soot box. These parts are expensive - and also push a stove quite some distance forward. This flue fitting (which juts out 3 > 3.1/2" over the bck of the stoves) means that the flue pipe can sit right back, making fitting easier, less costly and more aesthetically pleasing.

There is only one flue outlet on this stove - but it is reversible so the flue can be taken out from the back of the stove or out of the top. Top to centre of flue when rear fitting is therefore the same height as the top of the stove (735mm). When coming out the top of the stove - the centre of the flue outlet is inline with the back body of the stove.
