Our universal ash pans are designed to fit many open fire baskets and stoves. They are especially useful when used along with our universal coal grates.
We designed our universal grates and ash pans to fill a gap in the market and aid customers who perhaps have fire baskets or stoves which are no longer made, yet need new grates and ash pans of a specific size. The unique design of these ash pans allows you to create a bespoke sized ash pan yourself at home with a standard product which is now available "off the shelf"

These universal ash pans are provided as THREE main parts. There are two different sized base pan parts plus a funny looking end piece (which you may or may not use) plus some fixings.
The whole point is that you can slide the two base parts together and then push or pull to achieve the desired size of ash pan.
You will need to drill through the metal base parts (on both sides) and use screws and ash pan lifting bracket to fix the pan together. The two pan parts need to overlap by approx 30mm minimum
Alternatively, the two pieces can be used as separate ashpans ... so we actually include two ash pan lifting brackets with the set (as we are nice and thoughtful like that !) These brackets can fit on anywhere you like - so you can make a narrow and deep ashpan (front to back) or a wide, shallower ash pan.
The angled metal piece can be fixed to the back of one of the ash pan base pieces - where you are only using one part and not both - should you require a small ash pan with a back.

SMALL ASH PAN DIMENSIONS :
makes a single, expandable ash pan (using two base parts) 200mm x 150mm at smallest or 200mm x 275mm widest
base parts used singularly, will give you 2 x ash pans ( both 200 x 150mm - one with a back piece)
LARGE ASH PAN DIMENSIONS :
makes a single, expandable ashpan (using two base parts) 250mm x 300mm at smallest or 250mm x 440mm widest
base parts used singularly, will give you 2 x ash pans ( one at 250 x 170 without a back , and one at 250 x 300mm with a back piece)
